Why this subject, and why here
The speeches of the suffrage movement are primary sources. They carry the cadence, the argument, and the politics of a campaign that ran for decades. Readers who want to understand how a republic amended itself against the grain of its own law need the words as they were delivered, not a summary. The conventions, the state-by-state campaign, and the Nineteenth Amendment are the frame in which those words acquire their force, and no secondary account can substitute for the text itself.
In 2026 an independent project took this address and built a publication called Resolved on it. The business idea is narrow: each primary speech of the American suffrage movement gets its own page, and the political history that frames those speeches is published alongside. The site has no connection to any former owner of this domain and does not reuse the former name.
This site will not reproduce the creationist articles, the Japanese doorway pages, the commerce filler paths, or the A-Z health series that the old domain carried. It will not offer self-defense advice or wellness tips. The dropped material belonged to a different subject, a different register, and a different readership. The only thread inherited is the one this publication is built on, the movement and the law it produced.
Sources, method and corrections
Every figure on a page traces to a named source. Captures come from the Wayback Machine index, backlinks from Majestic, and the editorial count from the publication's own ledger. A number reaches print only after the source line is checked against the record, and the source is printed with the number so a reader can verify it in one step.
